I started the book at the beginning of 2020 and we all know what happens next in that story…. To get a sneak peek of the book, you can check out the cookbook page here but to give you a little preview: the book is filled with just about every kind of pie recipe you can think of! Sweet, savory, mini and handheld, tarts, galettes, pot pies, fruit, custard, ice cream, you name it! And even two bonus chapters with recipes to accompany pie and recipes for what to make with your pie dough scraps! If you’re like: “sounds great, Taylor, but I can’t make pies”, I got you! I really wanted to make this book accessible to everyone, no matter their skill level! The book is full of tips for not only how to perfect pie dough, but a super simple method for making dough that is easy and achievable! And no special tools required! Many of my recipe testers were on the less experienced or beginner end, with some never having even made homemade dough before and all of them said they were so pleasantly surprised by how easy it actually was! The whole process can seem intimidating but I promise, you got this! The recipes themselves are a mix of my twists on classic and nostalgic recipes like Wild Blackberry Birthday Pie and Deep-Dish Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Pot Pie and brand new and unique takes on pie like Aperol Citrus Creamsicle Pie and Caramelized Onion and Gruyere Galette (french onion soup vibes!).
