This nut mix is my answer to the blasé, healthy snack suggestion of a "handful of almonds" that we've all heard a million times.  You know those articles that have the answer for the perfect healthy snack to get you out of your afternoon slump.  Stuff like apple slices, carrot sticks, a handful of almonds.  Healthy, sure, but kinda boring.  This nut mix is full of flavor and the perfect little snack, anytime.  This nut mix is great for parties or get togethers, too.

Sweet + Savory Mixed Nuts 

3/4 c toasted walnuts
3/4 c toasted almonds
3/4 c toasted pecans
1 T grass-fed butter, melted
1 T pure maple syrup
1 T brown sugar
1 t salt
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t smoked paprika
1/2 t fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 pinch cayenne pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all the spices, rosemary, salt, and brown sugar and set aside.  Toss the nuts with melted butter and maple syrup.  Sprinkle with the spice mixture and toss to combine.  Spread the nuts out on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until nuts are golden brown and crisp.  Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks or so.
